This is one of my newer nicknames thanks to Dan Coates, cardiac Cox is another. I remember the conversation with the new surgeon, Dr Pelletier. He came to get a consent signature for bypass surgery. Good news, chance of dying is only 1% from this procedure. The important thing was that by next paddling season I would be good to go paddling. I signed on the dotted line. WWWP-warm water winter paddling
I left home in Hampton on January 24th at 4am so that Dustin, my daughter’s boyfriend, could start work at the car auction in Halifax. This is a rough journal of my time in Africa. I love it here. I love this island in the Nile. I also love my new apple laptop and my new Jackson Allstar.
The flight was the next day so I got a few last minute things in Halifax. The next day Dustin dropped me off at the airport and headed to Moncton to another auction.

Freestyle World Championships
What are you doing this May?
The 2007 World Freestyle Kayak Championships are being held in Canada. Ten years ago the worlds were held on the Ottawa and I was planning to go with some friends. They all backed out (losers). I went alone. I had a good time getting to see the world’s best and paddling the Ottawa with Erica Mitchell and her dad. I think I was the only Maritimer there. Read more
