Reversing Falls (Harry’s sweet spot).
After arriving home from traveling to Costa Rica and New Zealand and spending some time paddling some big water in Ottawa I was a little excited to hit up my backyard playspot the Reversing Falls. It is interesting because although traveling to different countries and exploring different rivers new stuff is always exciting the falls is like that favorite old T-shirt that you never want to throw away (no matter how many holes are in it), there will always be fantastic sessions at the falls. I originated paddling here and attribute a lot of my love to paddling from good sessions that I have had in the past years here. I also atrribute my lust for creeking from the same area. When there is water there are a number of creeks close to the city of Saint John, New Brunswick that range from a cruisy run down the Black a classic run like the Mispec to running the hair on either branch of the Musquash also a 20 feet of goodness park and huck at Lepreau Falls. British Columbia is without a doubt one of my favourite places to kayak. It has absolutely everything you could ever ask for as a kayaker, world class creeks of varying difficulty, big water runs, a big wave, and unforgettable scenery.
