This is one of my newer nicknames thanks to Dan Coates, cardiac Cox is another. I remember the conversation with the new surgeon, Dr Pelletier. He came to get a consent signature for bypass surgery. Good news, chance of dying is only 1% from this procedure. The important thing was that by next paddling season I would be good to go paddling. I signed on the dotted line. Canadian team trials for the 2009 World Championships in Switzerland took place over the weekend in Chambly, Quebec. The event boasted excellent water levels, unseasonably warm weather and the most impressive wave competition I’ve ever seen.
