Farewell to West Virginia
After a few weeks of epic water I left West Virginia to return to Canada in preparation for Canadian Team Trials. I’ve spent the majority of the last six months living in Fayetteville discovering what an amazing place it is for paddling.

I have been In the beautiful country of New Zealand now since the end of January, I will be here till August. While I am here I plan on paddling as much as possible meeting up with Max Fisher who is tearing apart the South Island’s west coast right now, and also taste interesting new food and beer that New Zealand offers. This is my story of an adventure to date.

The past few days in West Virginia have been some of the best I’ve had on the water in a long time. With huge amounts of rain falling in a short period of time everything in the state was, and pretty much still is, going off! I didn’t expect the rain to bring things up as fast and as high as it did but with the added snow melt at higher elevations water levels sky rocketed. With the dries and tons of amazing creeks running at prime levels the next couple of days were action packed.
